Environmental Requirements

  • Application temperatures:

    • It is not recommended to apply if ambient weather temperature is below 13 ̊C (55 ̊F) or above 38 ̊C (100 ̊F)

    • It is not recommended to apply if surface temperature is below 13 ̊C (55 ̊F) or above 49 ̊C (120 ̊F)

  • Dew point not to be lower than -15 ̊C (5 ̊F) of air temperature (Check your local dew point to determine when you should apply. The product will not dry properly and you will have to re-coat)

  • Relative humidity to be below 85%

  • Wind velocity should not exceed 7m/s

  • DO NOT APPLY IN RAIN OR IF RAIN IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR WITHIN 4 HOURS OF PRODUCT DRY TIME

Uses

  • Applies on 99% of substrates to address thermal, corrosion or waterproofing concerns

Surface Preparation

  • Substrate should be clean and dry

  • Clean surface thoroughly using degreaser or detergent to remove any film, scale, loose material, oils or foreign material that will inhibit bonding

  • Wire brush or wire wheel is acceptable to remove any loose rust

 

DIRECTIONS:

  • Apply only to clean, dry, stable surfaces

  • Apply CDS Bond first to the area desired

  • Apply first coat of CDS Armour to the prepared surface by roller, brush or spray

  • Apply one complete thin coat and allow to dry for 12 to 24 hrs (depending on the local dew point)

  • Multiple thin coats are recommended (apply 1 coat for basic waterproof or more for complete corrosion defence as desired)

  • Brush or Roll on at 11mills wet film thickness

  • Spray guns and spray tips: Use a heavy duty spray unit (the product is heavy and thick, do not use thinners) and a large diameter spray tip

  • Spray coatings are recommended to allow the first coat to dry tack free before applying further coatings

  • Clean up with soap and water

  • ANY CHANGE TO THE CONTENTS OF THIS CONTAINER WILL VOID WARRANTY • READ PRODUCT DATA SHEET AND MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET PRIOR TO USE

Coverage

  • CDS Armour will typical cover 40m2 to 50m2 per 20L pail depending on substrate surface and thickness of application

 

Packaging

  • CDS Armour is available in 20L pail

 

Shelf Life

  • 5 years in unopened pail

 

Storage

  • Store in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight and heat

  • Never allow the product to freeze in liquid form, once applied and cured, CDS Products can withstand any freeze thaw cycle

Health & Safety

  • Inhalation: Remove individual to fresh air, if irritation persists, seek medical attention

  • Skin contact: Flush with water

  • Eye contact: Flush with water for 15 minutes while holding eyelids open

  • Ingestion: Give 2 glasses of water to drink and seek medical attention

  • Note to physician: Inhalation of product mist may cause headache and nausea

 

Hazards Statements

  • Avoid breathing dust / fume / gas / mist / vapours / spray

  • Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace

  • Wear protective gloves / protective clothing / eye protection / face protection

Precautionary Statements

  • If on skin: Wash with plenty of water and soap

  • If skin irritation or rash occur, get medical advice / attention

  • Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse
